What Actually Inspires Change
When I look back, I realize something important:
the easiest thing in the world was to avoid looking at myself.
It was easier to stay busy.
Easier to focus on everyone else.
Easier to pretend that the things weighing on me would somehow fix themselves if I just pushed through one more season.
I wasn’t falling apart… but I wasn’t really living either.
My body hurt. My sleep was garbage. My finances were always on edge. My relationships stayed in this weird “fine but not great” zone. I felt stuck — not rock bottom, but hovering dangerously close.
And the hardest part to admit is I told myself it was normal, just because everyone around me seemed to be going through the same motions.
I didn’t realize that by not paying attention to myself, I was digging my hole deeper. I kept waiting for something external to force the change — a wake-up call, a crisis, a perfect moment where everything aligned.
But none of that came.
What came instead was this quiet, uncomfortable knowing that if I didn’t do something different… nothing in my life was going to get better.
So I started.
Not perfectly. Not dramatically. Not with some huge life overhaul.
Just… started.
Little by little, I changed how I cared for my body, how I moved, how I fueled myself. And those shifts — the ones I thought were only about my health — ended up changing everything.
I got clearer. I got calmer. I made better decisions.
My finances improved. My relationships deepened.
I became a better friend, a better sibling, a better partner, a better daughter.
And the craziest part is my career took off.
When my body and mind finally stopped fighting me, I showed up differently behind the chair, in my business, and in the way I ran my life. That one change — beginning to take care of myself — created a ripple effect I could never have predicted.
I didn’t hit rock bottom.
I was seconds away… and that was enough.
Now, looking back, I sometimes think, I could’ve started sooner.
Not in a regretful way, but in a way that keeps me honest with myself now.
It’s what helps me catch things earlier.
Move faster when something needs to shift.
Take action before the discomfort becomes a crisis.
Because I’ve learned firsthand:
Change doesn’t happen when life forces you into it.
Change happens the moment you stop waiting.
IT”S AN ACTION!
And if my story shows you anything, let it be this —
caring for yourself isn’t selfish or optional.
It’s the thing that makes EVERYTHING else in your life expand <3
